2017 State Wrestling Tournament – Day 2

Huntington, WV (WOAY) – The 2017 state wrestling tournament started Thursday in Huntington, but not before a suspension of the 145-, 152-, and 170-pound weight classes in Class AAA due to a herpes infection from Region 4. It was announced late Friday evening that competitions for those classes will occur March 13-14 at the Fairmont Armory. The remaining classes went ahead with competition as scheduled, with Independence having clinched a fourth straight team title with two sessions still to come Saturday.
