5th Quarter: Woodrow Wilson @ Greenbrier East

Woodrow Wilson made the trip out to Greenbrier East in a highly anticipated make up game.  No snow to ruin the action this time, just a sold out, standing room only crowd creating an electric atmosphere that both teams fed on.

The Flying Eagles and Spartans matched each other blow for blow in the opening quarter.  Beckley’s offense was keyed in large part by the three point shooting of Bryce Radford and Mikey Penn, while Seth Brown stood out for the Spartans.  Still, the best play of the first stanza came at the first quarter buzzer. Nethaniel Patton pulled up from his own free throw line and banked in the three-quarter court shot, and Greenbrier East held the lead after one.

Beckley came right back in the second quarter, and while this was a close game, the Flying Eagles eventually pulled ahead and come out of this rivalry matchup with the 58-49 win.
