Princeton, WV (WOAY) – Meadow Bridge and Greenbrier West met on Thursday in a girls basketball Class A Region 3 Section 2 semifinal.
The Lady Wildcats had early momentum, leading after the first quarter, before the Lady Cavaliers went on a run. Led in part by Brittany Bevins, Greenbrier West rallied to take the lead early in the second quarter, before Meadow Bridge regained the lead.
Both teams made plays throughout the night, with Meadow Bridge winning 50-45. Shauna Harless led the Lady Wildcats with 19 points.
Meadow Bridge will play Summers County Saturday in the Section 2 final at Princeton. The winner of that game hosts Fayetteville in a Region 3 co-final, while the section runner-up heads to Charleston Catholic.
