Charleston, WV (WOAY, video courtesy WDTV) – After competing in the Big Atlantic Classic last week, Morgantown and Woodrow Wilson met in the Little General Shootout in Charleston, nearly 11 months after their Class AAA state semifinal matchup.
The Mohigans won that game in March 2016, and began the game on a quick start, leading by double digits for much of the first half, going into halftime up 31-15.
But Beckley rallied in the second half led by 13 points from Courtney Walton. Bryce Radford tied the game at 44 in the fourth quarter, and Tarek Payne scored the go-ahead basket as part of his 10 points in the 52-47 win.
The Flying Eagles stay on the road Friday when they visit Spring Valley.
